As a Summer Analyst in the 2025 Commercial & Investment Bank - Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program, you will start the program, which is expected to run for 7 weeks from June to August (subject to change), with five days of orientation and training. This program is an opportunity to take your career to the next level through hands-on experience, relevant skills training and valuable professional networking. As it is a pipeline for future graduate opportunities, based on individual performance and achievements, those who successfully complete the program may receive offers of full-time employment with the firm in 2026.

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze market data, build detailed financial models and prepare client presentations for mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and capital markets advisory
  • Manage client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of our senior leaders
  • Develop innovative and creative ways to solve complex, real-world business challenges
  • Learn how we help clients and communities grow, no matter their needs
  • Sharpen your technical skills
  • Build your professional network with mentors, senior executives and others

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and interpretative skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment
  • Being adaptable, flexible and resilient
  • Knowing your way around Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • We're a global company whose primary business language is English, fluent in English and native level Japanese is required.
  • Expected graduation date of August 2025 through July 2026, studying outside of Japan in Bachelor program or higher
  • If you are pursuing a Master's Degree, it must be completed within 2 academic years of your Bachelor's Degree

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Coursework in finance or economics a plus
