This position's primary location will be Malvern, PA, USA. This position is eligible for J&J flexible work arrangement; 3 days in office / 2 days remote.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems in the field of biotherapeutic analysis. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's capabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Innovation:

  • Analyze business requirements and drive the technology integrations for biotherapeutic analytical automation systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and explore possibilities for innovation.
  • Explore and recommend new technologies and software platforms to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Project Management:

  • Lead and oversee the development and implementation of biotherapeutic analytical automation systems.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including scientists, engineers, and IT professionals, to design and deploy solutions.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, timeline, and budget, while meeting quality standards.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards, bioanalytical scientific workflows, and enterprise software installation and deployment on premise or in cloud.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, resolving complex challenges.
  • Stay updated on regulatory guidelines and industry standards.

Collaboration and Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate, select, and implement new technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and oversee implementation phases.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Establish and update comprehensive documentation in line with regulatory standards.
  • Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in technology or releases.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Relevant educational background in fields such as Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related area. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in the scientific industry required.
  • Proven track record of driving technology projects and innovation.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), requirements analysis, agile methodologies required
  • Familiarity with related analytical techniques and instruments in lab environment required
  • Hands-on experience with analytical automation systems highly preferred.
  • Data management and integration of automation systems with other laboratory software platforms highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to non-GXP and GXP processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in communication, with the ability to work well with teams and present technical information in a way that is easily comprehensible to individuals who may not have a technical background.

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management, resource allocation, and budget oversight is preferred.

Other:

  • Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $91,000 to $147,200.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
