Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, a part of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Technical Product Owner, Protein Therapeutics Development, located in Spring House, PA, USA and/or Malvern, PA, USA. This position is eligible for J&J flexible work arrangement; 3 days in office / 2 days remote.

The mission of the Therapeutics Development Product Group is to implement innovative technology to transform the development and delivery of life-changing medicines for J&J IM, R&D. In this role, the candidate will demonstrate analytical skills and technical expertise to deliver and optimize Business-IT systems for Protein Therapeutics Development laboratories.

  • Technical Application Owner for Protein Therapeutic Development [product-specific] Bus-IT systems: own technical tasks for systems including but not limited to Benchling Validated Cloud (ELN), SimSight (modeling application), Ignition (Bioreactor Control System), PIMS (Plant Information Management System).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria to guide backlog prioritization, system sprint and release cycle.
  • Regularly review and update system documentation in systems such as Jira, Confluence, Asset Management.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and recommend ways to innovate.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including scientists, developers, vendor personnel, and IT professionals, to design and deploy GxP-compliant solutions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards, regulatory guidelines, biotherapeutic R&D scientific workflows, and enterprise software deployment on premise and in cloud.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, resolving complex challenges.
  • Establishes objectives, key results, and metrics to evaluate product performance and user satisfaction.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Prepares and presents regular updates to team members and management.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Relevant educational background in fields such as Biotechnology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the scientific industry.
  • Proven track record of driving technology projects and innovation.
  • Experience supporting business-IT systems (ELN, LIMS, Inventory, Bioreactor Control, Modeling applications, etc) and instruments in R&D lab environment.
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), requirements analysis, agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to non-GXP and GXP processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence, negotiate, and build partnerships, teams, and trust across functions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with deploying software systems on a global scale.

Other:

  • Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
