The Supply Chain Platform Planner will lead and oversee all supply chain aspects and demand plan for assigned product platforms (product category). Role will collaborate with product management, commercial, supply chain functions (Planning, purchasing, Supplier Engineering, Logistics), internal stakeholders (Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Development, Quality), and external partners/suppliers, to ensure successful execution and alignment of supply chain plans with broader business strategies and needs. You will be responsible for demand plan development, material resource management, supply chain planning and readiness for product launches and region expansions, process improvements, risk management, and capacity planning.

Candidate will have strong program management, analytics, communication, and organizational skills, with a technical background to help understand concepts and support the team and suppliers when necessary.

The role will also be responsible for day-to-day activities (following up on deliveries and shortages etc.) and performing the data gathering, reporting, and transactional activities as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to take ownership of and work independently to actively manage an assigned platform, commodity groups, and projects through each phase.

• Work cross functionally as platform planner:

• Demand Plan Lead for Platform - inventory plan development and management: Collaborate closely with key cross-functional partners (such as sales, platform GM, development, and finance) to generate consolidated view of platform plan

• Responsible for management of platform planning readiness for overall forecast, product launches, regional expansions, EOL, and other key market milestones, and ensure alignment with demand and supply plans

• Configuration management lead for platform

• Development partner and supply chain liaison (understand roadmap, timeline, and assumptions that will impact Supply Chain responsibilities; Support product develop process and reviews; Support supplier selection, Escalate/advocate as needed; Support & issue Development PO's)

• Present supply chain position in cross functional forums; highlight issues/concerns/needs

• Own MRP status for platform (status, monitor and determine target usage, recovery action tracking, issue PO's and establish contracts with vendors, etc.)

• ID and highlight supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans

• Conduct quarterly platform capacity need assessment and ID actions to align with growth forecasts

• Generate and maintain supply chain program dashboards and report outs for different levels of management

• Manage overall project plans, track key actions and risks, prepare and present project status reports and metrics, and secure required resources; Orchestrate project governance

• Proactively review processes and analyze data to identify opportunities and/or problems. Recommend and oversee actions for improvement.

• Schedule and run cross functional team meetings to manage execution of project plan, including authoring of minutes, and assignment of action items

• Drive timely decisions and facilitate active communication and information flow between team members, internal stakeholders, and external partners

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering, Operations or equivalent; MBA or Masters in Engineering a plus

• 3 years professional experience within supply chain, manufacturing, or product management

• Successful program management experiences leading large cross functional and technical programs.

• Broad knowledge and experience in supply chain operations, sales/commercial, marketing programs, and business strategies

• Strong communication skills to influence external and internal stakeholders in an effort gain alignment and mitigate program risks/challenges

• Strong problem solving and analytics skills; Experience with LEAN, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Strength is working well in a team environment while continually and constructively challenging the status quo

• SAP experience a plus

• Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks and demonstrated flexibility in a changing business environment

• Models a positive, can-do attitude and is cooperative both within their function and company-wide

• Basic understanding of medical device regulatory submissions

• Willing to travel as needed
