This position is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and managing the strategy, portfolio & operations processes for the JJIM Commercial North America organization (including Canada and Data Science). These processes encompass our portfolio (financial, product management, and resource) and are critical for enabling key decisions on where to focus both funding and resources to ensure that IT continues to deliver value to Johnson & Johnson and the businesses that we support. This position will work closely with Commercial NA Product Group Leaders / Heads of Product and contribute to the development of IT strategy and operations globally.

Primary responsibilities include:

Portfolio Management:

  • Support the Commercial North America Team in guiding the selection, prioritization and balancing of the Commercial North America IT portfolio based on business and I/T strategic objectives and financial/resource constraints.
  • Drive/facilitate portfolio governance processes and reviews (inclusive of Business Planning, Long Range Financial Planning, and financial updates at JU and NU) for Commercial North America.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of Comm NA's investment and support $'s with product owners, Senior Management, and Finance.
  • Partner with finance to prepare SLT financial presentations and ensure Bill of IT charges, budget transfers, charge-ins / charge-outs, reclasses, and actuals are accurately reflected in our Portfolio.

Product Management

  • Become a strategic partner to Commercial North America around High Performing Teams (HPT), driving product maturity across the Commercial North America Placemat.
  • Support Product Management Excellence by ensuring all Enterprise and IMT Product Processes are followed, and all required data is collected in a timeline manner.
  • Identify process and tooling gaps, suggesting improvements to allow smoother operation of Pharma product teams.
  • Continuously measure the value being delivered across our Product portfolio against Total Cost of Ownership, highlighting risks and opportunities to Commercial North America's VP's leadership teams.

Resource Management:

  • Execute a robust resource management process across Commercial North America, allowing for insight to employee and contractor resource supply and demand.
  • Work across stakeholders and partners to manage open headcount and resolve any role prioritization or conflicts.
  • Partner with finance to ensure budget and headcount transfers are tracked and completed.

Strategy & Operations:

  • Play a key role in preparing for Investment Council meetings, helping drive the right view and messaging around the Commercial NA IT Portfolio (both investments and run costs).
  • Ensure the timely update of the TLT and SLT Dashboards for Commercial North America around program/product execution health.
  • Provide periodic Financial/Portfolio, Product Management, and Resource Management updates to the Commercial North America's VP's leadership teams.
  • Continually strive to improve and evolve our processes and develop organizational competencies in product planning and execution, resource management and portfolio management.
  • Develop and deliver communication, change management and training in support of the above activities.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years progressive IT or Finance work experience
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to reconcile budgets
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate data into messages appropriate for executive audiences
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills
  • Proficient in use of standard office automation tools (Office 365), such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Science industry
  • Experience working with VP Level Executives
  • Experience with Agile and Product Management
  • Experience with User Experience Design, Jira, and Kanban

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000- $172,500.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
