Key Responsibilities:
This role is recognized within the organization as being of key strategic importance in terms of enabling the business to remain competitive and grow market share.
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the field of Metrology Engineering with specific ownership for the following:
- High level Metrology equipment development, deployment and lifecycle management.
- Automation and integration of sophisticated Metrology equipment to a 24/7 operations environment.
- Contributing to a highly skilled technical team to advance Metrology solutions.
- Lifecycle management of existing equipment and development of new technologies.
- Project management of sophisticated metrology projects across multiple departments and equipment vendors.
- Integration of Metrology equipment to laboratory management systems to assure data integrity.
- Instrument Qualifications & Test Method Validations to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and project timelines are met.
- Ensuring all instrument deployments and changes are managed within the Quality Management and Change Control process.
- Development of strategic relations with third party solution providers.
- Adoption of the standard methodology and standardization of equipment and practices with the Jacksonville facility where appropriate.
- Problem solving and working through complex projects to ensure on time delivery.
- The identification and provision of new technologies to support new products.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Optics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent Technical degree required.
- Advanced degree such as a MS in Optics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Two to four (2-4) years of work experience in the Quality, Industrial, Technical or Research environments.
- Self starter and demonstrated project leadership skills.
- Proven record to work with others and deploy new equipment and strategies.
- Experience in working as part of project teams, along with multi-functional collaboration.
- Extensive work experience in the industrial, technical or research environments.
- Proven experience in laboratory equipment and systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with Quality System requirements for lab data systems.
- 5 years plus experience in the medical device lab systems.
- Prior experience and training in Medical Device Quality systems and certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
- Proficiency using statistical analysis tools such as Minitab and Tableau is preferred.
- Knowledge and application of Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodology. Green or black belt certifications is a plus.
- Experience in communicating technical information to varied levels of audiences.
