The Senior Manager, Contract Management will be part of the Commercial Contract Management organization, reporting to the Director, Commercial Contract Management, responsible for driving flawless implementation of contracts and pricing strategies throughout the contract continuum from developing paper through contract load and maintenance. These responsibilities include leading and coaching a team of Contract Management professionals, coordinating the overall workflow, soliciting feedback from stakeholders and providing feedback, partnering with Directors of Contract Management and Offer Development Managers to ensure a high level of service, high quality products and efficient processes. This individual is also responsible for leading and developing various contract templates to support the business and CPC approved Contract Strategies and will support terms and conditions redlines for commercial contracts across the JJMD organization. This role is the defined and proficient specialist for handling redlines including customer negotiation in close partnership with Offer Development, Account Management and the Field Sales Organization. They partner closely with the Commercial Programs Legal Group (CPLG) as a Learned Intermediary, the broader SCG contracting community, HCC, and internal business partners, including senior management, in finding opportunities, process improvements and supporting critical company initiatives to improve turnaround time processes and workflows. Responsibilities include coordination of terms and conditions options and changes, identifying potential gaps, ensuring contracts are aligned to strategy, customer negotiations, sharing preferred practices, and recommending solutions to improve customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Execution strategies for approved offers, product launches, new pricing programs to include development of contract templates documents and Contract Setup templates in Contract Systems & Process and Workflow
- Drives contract negotiation, execution, and management process by leading and overseeing the overall workflow to negotiate, execute, and maintain contracts. Provide direction on drafting complex contracts and redline resolution
- Proactively identifies areas of disconnect / backup and devise solutions within Contract Management, ensuring best practice sharing / skill development across the contracting team while ensuring objectives of the business unit are met Develop and refine training materials and operating processes
- Identify, develop and retain talent, while developing overall contracting and negotiation capabilities and bench strength for the organization
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal partners, consistent with company mission and values, to ensure that actions taken reflect terms of contracts and agreements. Provide regular mentorship and training to business partners, to ensure they understand contractual requirements as well as general legal and compliance environment.
- Develop and maintain positive business partner relationships with Legal, HCC, Deal Desk, Contract Strategy & Field partners
- Proactively support the design and implementation of systems, processes and controls to efficiently lead the contracting process to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Ensuring conformity to business needs, accurate risk allocation and compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures
- Facilitate internal partners to resolve sophisticated issues and assist in disputes (elevating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties, e.g. Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management, Health Care Compliance, Privacy, CPLG).
- Ownership of assigned templates, clause library and related contracting tools
- Write and/or Maintain assigned SOPs and WIs
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,500.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a BS/BA is required. A degree in Business, Law, Finance, or Sales & Marketing is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Contracting & Pricing or related business experience within J&J or medical devices.
- Location: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; West Chester, Pennsylvania; Warsaw, Indiana; Cincinnati, OH; Irvine, CA
- May require up to 10% domestic or international travel
- Strong time management skills and ability to self-manage in a sophisticated, deadline driven environment is required
- Excellent communication skills including giving presentations to executive leadership, building and maintaining relationships at all levels in the organization is required.
- Ability to work independently and complete all business projects according to agreed upon timelines is required.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and build support across a complex set of collaborators, including the ability to influence and align complex groups of collaborators towards overall business objectives is required
- Experience with commercial organizations, including field sales teams, contracting, and financial profitability is preferred
- Deep experience with the JJMT Contracting systems and support tools is preferred
- Leadership Imperative Requirements- cultivates new insights; comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, embraces collaboration and teaming, proactively senses and responds to problems and opportunities, results and performance driven, possesses big picture orientation- able to operate in two "worlds" simultaneously by looking both deep and broad
- Strong analytical skills and experience in Process Excellence tools is preferred.
