As the Sr. Manager FM Micro Regional Lead, you will have overall accountability for driving Enterprise Facilities Management (EFM) capabilities within the Florida Micro Region while providing oversight of any facilities management outsourcing partners (including, but not limited to: Physical Plant Maintenance, Food Services, Security, Housekeeping, Mailroom, Pest Control, etc.). This position serves as a single point of accountability and will deliver a quality, safe, compliant, and productive workplace environment across all sites within a micro-region, with a high-touch customer service orientation. Also, responsible for Facilities Business Continuity and support the Strategic projects and Capital Investment.
A suitable candidate for this role will have the ability to oversee and coordinate between sites of varying size, complexity, and needs. The candidate should have experience in facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, space management and regulated facilities.
Key relationships include outsourced vendors and establishing clear lines of engagement with site-level business customers, Regional and Sub-Regional FM leadership, the Global Workstreams Organization, and key JNJ Partners (e.g., Finance, MAM, IT, HR, EHS, GHS and / or Procurement).
This position reports directly to the Southeast Sub-Regional Lead Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive FM focus and capabilities within the micro region
- Coordinate with peers in the sub region
- Serve as primary point of contact to site level business customer for Facilities quality, safety, compliance, and performance
- Manage site and micro-regional relationships with outsourcing partners, JNJ functions, business customers and authorities.
- Serve as primary site liaison for EHSS compliance
- Ensure compliance with external and internal requirements
- Ensure site facilities are compliant with good commercial, laboratory and manufacturing practices, and other regulations
- Share E&PS key performance metrics, benchmarks, and methodologies to establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture
- Implement and maintain business continuity plans and infrastructure management programs
- Serve as the Crisis Management Team lead for the micro-region.
- Support Project Development and Delivery teams on capital and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate between business units and contractors during planning / construction as needed
- Attend and/or chair customer and FM Facilities level governance forums escalating governance issues as required
- Coordinate inspections on site, as needed
- Identify and apply E&PS programs and methodologies to generate savings and optimize the site and business performance
- Responsible for site specific data and information to support regional and global metrics, programs and performance analysis
- Responsible to champion and deliver FM Global Functions and E&PS strategic initiatives within micro region
- Financial management of Business Plan, and management of long-range financial planning, based on the Asset Risk and Compliance structure.
- Manage resources and influence team members to deliver on budget, quality, efficiency, and EHS requirements.
- Ability to recognize and communicate emerging site issues to the business and to the Sub-Regional lead
- Ability to adapt emerging standard methodologies and industry innovations
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree required; a concentration in Facilities Management, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred
Experience & Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience (CRE/Facilities experience in a GMP product manufacturing plant environment)
- Proven experience in Facilities Management or Engineering roles
- Proven budget and financial leadership skills
- Experience managing in-house contractors
- Ability to lead diverse teams through change and organizational transformation
- Demonstrated knowledge in technical and business fields
- Ability to maintain both strategic and tactical focus
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
Preferred:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Proven success in achieving project goals
- Knowledge of compliance in EHS, Factory Mutual, and other relevant regulatory standards
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IFMA, CEM, MCR, SLCR)
- Experience with sustainability and green building initiatives
- Strong track record of local collaboration, ensuring project completion and people development
Other:
- This position requires availability for traveling (up to 75%), working extended hours, and might be required to work on holidays and weekends.
