The Sr. Manager E&PS Lead for North America FSN (Field Service Network) is a newly established role responsible for overseeing all Real Estate, Project Delivery, and Facilities Management operations across the Commercial Operation Strategy Enablement network. This role will develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive framework for acquiring, constructing, renovating, and maintaining facilities. The Sr. Manager will lead a central support team, collaborating closely with various specialists and experts to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and risk management.

An ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to facilitate decision-making processes, collaborating effectively with senior leaders and functions. The candidate will serve as a single point of contact and accountability, ensuring the delivery of a quality, safe, compliant, and productive environment at all locations.

Key relationships include: regional E&PS leadership, business customers, FM resources, outsourced vendors, key JNJ partners (e.g., Finance, IT, HR, EHS, GHS, and / or Procurement), and regulating agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Real Estate, Project Delivery, and Facilities Management across all COSE locations, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Oversee and manage all real estate operations, including property acquisitions, lease negotiations, and generating RE Support Letter & aCARs.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential real estate solutions and execute to rigid timelines.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive framework for acquiring, constructing, renovating, and maintaining facilities.
  • Partner with each FSN location liaison to facilitate effective communication, develop strategies to best serve each location, and react quickly to their requests.
  • Establish a centralized oversight and management system to ensure consistent processes and adherence to safety protocols across all locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Central Support Team, consisting of E&PS, RE Legal, EHS, Global Security specialists, and experts in Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management, to ensure seamless execution of operations.
  • Implement protocols and coordinating activities to ensure efficient and smooth operations in alignment with the business goals and objectives.
  • Manage budgets related to Real Estate, Project Delivery, and Facilities Management operations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and optimize operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and risk management protocols to mitigate potential risks and liabilities.
  • Lead and coordinate project delivery activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies to optimize functionality and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing facilities to drive cost savings and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for maintenance, repairs, and other related services.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for real estate, project delivery and facilities management.
  • Responsible for security oversight at all locations. This includes evaluating potential vulnerabilities and ensuring proper security protocols are in place.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all locations to ensure consistency and best practices. These SOPs should cover maintenance, repairs, safety protocols, project management, and GxP requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in Real Estate, Project Delivery, and Facilities Management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

Education:

  • University/Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Architecture or similar degree required.
  • Master's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Architecture or similar preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years of related work experience.
  • Strong proven experience in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) or facilities and/or real estate function.
  • Strong management and technical skills.
  • Experience related to risk management, quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of business strategy and projected business unit requirements for the workplace, infrastructure, real property, and facilities, including impact on the portfolio plan.
  • Extensive experience in leading commercial real estate initiatives, overseeing project delivery, and managing facilities functions within multinational corporate enterprises.
  • Ability to make decisions across business units with authority.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with and socializing strategies within a complex regionally driven organization.

Other:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550.
  • The anticipated base pay range, in the Bay Area, for this position is $138,000 to $238,050.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

  • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
  • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
