Shockwave Medical, Inc., recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson, is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join the G&A Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, this Financial Analyst role will be responsible for providing support to the Shockwave G&A and IT Organizations. We seek a motivated and results-driven analyst to provide best-in-class business partner support and help create transparency around key spending, milestones, and KPIs while enabling smooth integration into J&J systems and processes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the process for accomplishing rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range forecasts for the G&A and IT Operations.
  • Provide support to senior business leaders with actuals, analyze variance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to drive forecast execution, accuracy, and actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Effectively collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute initiatives
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close responsibilities, including preparation of accruals, variance analysis, reporting, and audit support


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting, finance, or related business experience is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to work independently while appropriately planning, prioritizing, and communicating progress on multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with planning software such as Adaptive or Anaplan
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal customers
  • Team player with strong work ethic

Additional Information:

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $105,000 to $169,050 annually.
  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
    • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
