Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager, Global Event Management to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ!
This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Events & Activations. The Sr. Project Manager is an enabler of successful global experiences - providing focused management and the ability to execute customized end-to-end novel solutions tailored to each meeting and event.
The Sr. Project Manager is a strategic advisor who brings forward creative, boundary-pushing ideas, knowledge of designed experiences, production/staging, and transforms them into dynamic, engaging outcomes. Responsibilities include total project management for global virtual, in-person, and hybrid events. This position interacts with senior level management and manages project budgets in excess of $2 million.

Key Responsibilities:
Project and budget management
- Manages approximately 20-25 global CEO / Executive Committee level meetings/events per year ranging from 10 to 1,000 people
- Ability to understand multiple business segment needs and requirements (Innovative Medicine, MedTech, Corporate)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (communications, marketing/brand, security)
- Executive level communications
- Displays strategic planning and meeting leadership skills:
- Provides comprehensive scope and project objectives
- Establishes clear roles and responsibilities for project team members
- Sets, communicates, and drives timelines
- Lead onsite project management (live or virtual); motivates and supports staff
- Manages production: live and virtual, exhibits, registration, rehearsals
- Complex budget management, recorded savings, reconciliation and coordination with Finance
- Risk management and strong negotiations skills
- Manages all project third party payments via internal credit card system; ensures invoicing dates and payment terms are met
- Ensures HCC compliance and security protocols
- Track and report on project key performance indicators and event metrics
- Percentage of global travel 60%
Registration, hospitality and logistics
- VIP program management (including Board of Directors, Chairman's Office, customers)
- Database and registration management (including onsite registration management & badging)
- Vendor management (including DMC, hotel, and various vendors)
- Logistics (including scheduling, deliveries, load-in/load-out)
- Procurement (including hotels, staffing, destination management companies (DMC's), communication & promotional items
- Conducts site inspections for offsite events and meetings
- Staffing Management (procurement, selection, & training)
- Works closely with Corporate Medical and Security Departments
- Amenities, uniforms and gifts (including selection, collation, distribution & warehousing)
- Décor and entertainment (including production and staging)
- Food and beverage (including menu development, guarantees, BEO's)
- Function and hospitality space (including room layouts, space planning & CAD drawings)
- Offsite hospitality (themed events, private dinners, venue rentals, offsite special events)
- Hotel accommodations (including allocation, assignments, check-in/out, luggage, payments)
- Travel (including partnership with agencies, visa processing & letters of invitations)
- Airport operations and air travel (including Corporate Aviation)
- Transportation (including fleet, drivers, routes, schedules, parking, permits)
- Ground transportation management (commercial & Corporate Fleet, air fare analysis)
Production & design
Production management and oversight of planning including:
- RFPs for production and graphic design agencies
- Webcasting, streaming, engagement tools, filming - live and pre-recorded. Green screen recordings, Zoom recordings and webinars
- Manages agency deadlines for presentations, scripts, and graphic design
- Full run-of-show elements
- Scheduling of rehearsals, makeup, and teleprompting
- Production (including staging/exhibits, graphic design, and all audio-visual support)
- Work closely with in-house resources, TV studio & video production and J&J facilities
- Liase with communications partners (including communication strategy plan)
- Event content and design kick-off meetings
- Works closely with Sr. Visual Strategist
Enable redesigned, reimagined on-site and virtual branded experiences
- Implement branded experiences - exterior, interiors, digital and print - for global projects and events
- Guide external vendors in the production of immersive hybrid experiences, exhibits, and spaces
- Manage event registration and websites
- Coordinate with design and project leads to deliver digital communications and promotions
- Manage mobile experience
- Works closely with Sr. Technical Strategist
Technology: hybrid meeting experiences
- Manages hybrid events
- Knowledge of virtual event platforms, registration solutions and third-party applications (Poll Everywhere, CVENT, etc)
- Advances creative hybrid solutions, open to new ideas and services
- Works closely with Sr. Technical Strategist
Qualifications
- 10 Years of Fortune 100 Planning Experience
- Proven experience in C-Suite, senior management, VIP event project management
- Experience managing international events
- BA/BS required
- Skills: Project Management, Budget Management & Reconciliation, Verbal & Written Communication Skills, People Management, Performance Management. Strong MS Word, Excel and PPT experience required.
Salary:
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 120000 to 207000.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
