Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional leadership skills including ability to partner cross functionally and lead a large diverse team of manufacturing associates.
  • Establishes personnel schedules for production lines based on business needs.
  • Strong ability to utilize data and critical metrics to understand systemic issues, root cause, and drive actions to improve processes.
  • Performs line Gemba walks.
  • Conducts performance reviews and provides feedback, including disciplinary actions as required.
  • Provides coaching and supervision to technicians to safely operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Identifies, plans, executes, and facilitates improvements to the quality & efficiency of the manufacturing lines under moderate supervision. Coordinates teams of technicians as necessary for completion of projects.
  • Ensures adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory policies & procedures.
  • Identifies and revises SOPs including safety, regulatory, equipment and process training.
  • Provide tools and resources needed to implement equipment and/or throughput improvements that will improve efficiency, product yield and safety.
  • Lead Projects within and cross generational (5S, critical metric driven, coordinates departmental training with Training Department based on SME needs, lead SME program, Lead shift for ER/LR)
  • Facilitates team/departmental communications.
  • Work with business unit manager to develop/track budget versus actuals. Accountable for driving cost improvement projects.
  • Working with BUM to develop resource models within business unit.
  • Implement training programs within generation to ensure accurate training needs are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Vocational/Technical certificate or associate degree required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering experience highly desired.
  • 4+ years supervision experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing and able to meet the conditions & physical demands of the job including stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (Up to 23 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, reaching, pushing, talking, standing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, or Mon-Fri Schedule

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred - preferably in Engineering or, equivalent technical field.
  • Experience in Process Excellence areas: Key Process Indicators, Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Gap Analysis, Prioritization Tools; Green/Black Belt highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of time keeping
  • Experience working with International Standards Organization (ISO), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) supervised environment.

Other:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
