Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join our Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain organization located in Wilson, North Carolina.

This role may require periods of increased travel to support startup activities based on functional needs and project timelines. In some cases, this could involve frequent travel and/or short-term stays with vendors, sister companies, or partners. In steady state, we expect travel to be < 10%.

J&J is expanding our manufacturing capacity with $2 billion investment to support strong portfolio growth and continue delivering breakthrough innovation and transformational medicines for patients. The new facility will expand production of innovative biologic medicines in areas including oncology, immunology, and neuroscience. J&J's significant supply chain investment ensures a resilient and reliable future supply of medicines to meet accelerating demand for our current portfolio of medicines and our future innovations.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated teammate to help us build our new facility learning programs from the ground up! In this role, you will have the opportunity to build from scratch our initiatives and approach. You will also get to lead the implementation and monitoring of training compliance for different departments within our site. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring that our training programs are excellently designed, flawlessly carried out, and of top-notch quality to meet our compliance, corporate standards, and enhance our employee experience!

As a Senior Training Specialist at Johnson & Johnson, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Establish curricula with organizational leadership, including new hire, sustainment, growth, and compliance trainings
  • Develop, implement, and maintain training curricula
  • Schedule & provide logistical coordination for training to targeted audiences
  • Collaborate with team members to create and enhance training materials
  • Foster teamwork and support a continuous improvement spirit
  • Recommend innovative and effective training programs and delivery systems, while providing delivery system program expertise
  • Lead and/or assist in the training of small and large groups
  • Support the Learning Management System content maintenance and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to training tools
  • Evaluate new training tools and technology
  • Support collection and maintenance of training program metrics and collaboration with Quality on training compliance.
  • Manage and support the Job Description/CV collection/review process


Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience is required

OR

  • Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience is required

Required:

  • Work experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similarly regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Strong background in Learning Management Systems (LMS) with training experience.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adaptability, versatility, and a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Must be available to support training during nights and weekends based on manufacturing and shift schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Good Practice (GxP) standards related to training.
  • Experience in organizational development and adult education.
