The Ethicon Supply Chain Finance organization provides exceptional business leadership to bring value throughout the global supply chain as part of Johnson & Johnson's MedTech sector. This position will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and controlling all finance & accounting related activities for the Ethicon Manufacturing sites in San Lorenzo and Manati in Puerto Rico. This position will be a member of the Ethicon Puerto Rico Leadership Team. Responsible for providing financial support, leadership, guidance in the long-term strategy for this site.

Responsibilities

This role reports to the Operations Finance Director with dotted line to the plant's General Manager. Directs, coordinates and controls all financial related activities at the plant. These include plant accounting, cost budgets, general accounting and overall Plant Cost Control leadership. Maintain the financial records of assets of the Company. Make recommendations and related matter of financial concern to the company.

  • Evaluates and monitors capital expenditures. Integrates financial data for operations into the overall company plan.
  • Develops and implements control methods for fixed assets and inventory investments of company. Assist in economic feasibility studies such as offsite warehousing opportunities. Help plant management to achieve the financial goals.
  • Analysis of financial impact of new work methods or processes. Resolves new reporting requirements accompany such changes. Coordinates the planning financial activities associated with the plant (eg. Capital requirements, cost studies, inventory, etc.)
  • Makes recommendations for new or improved Operations Accounting Policies as it relates to plant activity. Provides directions for the preparation of manufacturing and administration budgets, standard cost and special projects.
  • Directs the developments of standard product cost based on specification developed with production and planning personnel. Assist production management in establishing factors for material waste and yield, direct labor and manufacturing burden budgets. Participates with manufacturing to control and reduce cost by analyzing and interpreting cost reports and assisting in developing cost reduction programs. Directs the preparation of financial forecasts and consolidation and distribution of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, return on investment and other financial problems.
  • Responsible for presenting business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Finance or Accounting Major. MBA and / or CPA, preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years in financial operations, including 5 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field, preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications.
  • Experience maintaining ledgers and other fiscal documents.
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish & English).
  • Advanced computer skills and use of software application(s).
  • Position may be based in San Lorenzo with 20% travel required, must be able to travel between Ethicon Locations (Manati and San Lorenzo) and other locations as the need arises by the business.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license, role is considered eligible for Company Car Benefits.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
