We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to be the asset owner and subject matter expert (SME) of electrical and controls systems for the Malvern, PA manufacturing facility. This candidate will work as individual contributor and with small teams to implement equipment modifications, facility upgrades, and major maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support electrical asset lifecycle including: Scoping, Budgeting, Approval, Planning, Execution, and Turnover.
- Working hands on to investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical equipment, controls and instruments and instrumentation systems failures as needed.
- Work with Equipment OEM's and suppliers to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure assigned project work is completed on-time and on budget.
- Directly supervise contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, compliantly to SOP's and regulations, and company policies.
- Identify improvement opportunities that will improve reliability, increase uptime, reduce spare parts consumption, and reduce compliance risks.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in an electrical engineering role.
- Electrical distribution expertise, including electrical switchgear and distribution, UPS systems and emergency generators.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, electrical plans, or circuit diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical aspect of complex capital projects and rapid troubleshooting of existing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Control of Hazardous Energy such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
Preferred:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the regulated pharma or biotech industry
- Controls experience VFDs, controllers for AHUs, freezers and manufacturing skids, and control panel wiring.
- Knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
Other:
- This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel for training and meetings.
