We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist to join our efforts in the discovery of innovative medicines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the purification, conjugation & characterization of antibodies and other biomolecules for assay development.
- Knowledge and interest in protein purification including affinity and other chromatography methods, HPLC as well as biochemical analytical techniques.
- Design, complete and interpret experiments with manager's approval.
- Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, etc. in a timely fashion.
- Maintain familiarity with meaningful scientific literature.
- Collaborate with other scientists in a dynamic research environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or a related field in Life Sciences with at least 2 years of experience is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- Capacity to work independently and meet aggressive metric-driven timelines is required.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with excellent interpersonal skills is required.
- Protein conjugation and characterization experience is preferred.
- Experience with AKTA systems, HPLC and Automation is a plus.
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of scientific principles with the ability to learn new technologies.
