The Region Business Director is a field-based leadership position and is accountable to effectively lead and develop a team of Key Account Managers who contribute and execute on the strategic imperatives for key accounts and lead the engagement of key stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem.
The Region Business Director (RBD), Oncology Key Accounts key responsibilities:
• Strategically lead a diverse team of Key Account Managers that deliver for our customers (Integrated Delivery Networks, Community Oncology, Academic Centers and Federal Accounts) with a specific focus on Population Health Decision Makers, KOLs, and evolving stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem to support the use of the J&J Oncology portfolio of products.
• Responsible for creating a high-performance work environment in which he/she builds accountability within the team through inclusion, empowerment, involvement and teamwork. Will champion for positive change and improvement and builds an environment where new ideas, alternative strategies and innovative thinking are valued and explored, while remaining in accordance to Company standards.
• RBD oversees the build, co-creation and implementation of potential solutions and customer integrations. Provides direction, coaching and support for work done to advance the partnerships with Key Accounts
• Oversees Account Manager work with overseeing and partnering on ideation of complex contract strategy development which includes negotiation support, education and pull through
• Lead the team's development and execution of an aligned customer account plan to ensure we are embedding our portfolio within Key Accounts while simultaneously ensuring the team engages the healthcare ecosystem on both near and long-term partnering opportunities.
• Oversees and leads Account Managers in executing on new product launches in high-science, complex disease areas including those with targeted therapies.
• Identify and coordinate resources, monitor operating expenses, and maintain key relationships essential to achieving growth and profitability targets, regardless of market conditions.
• Proactively lead the team in achieving and exceeding MBO and business goals.
• Elevate the account management team to a high performance, outcomes-focused, organization where diversity and inclusion are valued, and where the team's skills, knowledge, and abilities continually evolve to meet future needs.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required
• A Master's Degree in a related field or an MBA is preferred
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience with a minimum of five (5) years of cross-functional experience in key commercial roles (Sales and Sales Management or Marketing and /or Market Access experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry is required
• Experience in people leadership is required
• Sales leadership strongly preferred
• Experience in Oncology is preferred
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industry Account Management and/or Sales expertise with a deep understanding of the key stakeholders within the stated region is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% travel which may include overnights and/or weekends in support of the business is required
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 146,000 to 251,850. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. This position is eligible for a company car through the Company's FLEET program.
