Description

Shockwave Medical is committed to supporting the clinicians that use our products with a robust offering of educational programs. This front-line role works to impact clinicians and the patients they serve by planning and executing educational events and programs, both in-person and virtual. This exciting role will collaborate closely with faculty members as well as internal partners in education, marketing, and sales. In addition to managing events, you will have the opportunity to support internal processes like HCP engagements, CEU/CME programs, and/or educational grants. This position can be performed remotely and will report to the Associate Director, Professional Relations and Operations. Ideal candidate will live in close proximity to a major airport, including Tampa, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own the logistics planning and execution of high impact peer-to-peer educational events for our customers. Examples of events include local speaker programs, national education programs, HQ based programs, fellows programs, and conference-based educational events.
  • Deliver excellent customer experience for clinicians and ensure strong communication with internal stakeholders, resulting in above benchmark customer feedback.
  • Support the meetings that you plan, including in-person travel and facilitation of virtual events using different software platforms.
  • Identify and contract with vendors.
  • Generate regular reporting and dashboards to track educational event activity and effectiveness.
  • Manage faculty honoraria payments & attendee expenses.
  • Manage and track program budgets and reconcile expenses in the system.
  • Ensure the company upholds the highest standards of compliance, using various software platforms to track and report on your events.
  • Balance simultaneous projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders


Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years event planning experience or related work experience. Prior experience planning and executing education events in the medical device space is preferred.
  • Ability to build successful partnerships with the sales force, develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience with AdvaMed and MDMA Compliance Code of Ethics.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management and organizations.
  • Highly organized and strong project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet customer needs while operating in a highly regulated environment with strong respect for process and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with CRM & Event Management platforms such as CVENT, Salesforce, Speakcore is desired.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $103,000 to $165,600.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
