Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Production Planning Manager located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The Production Planning Manager will direct and manage production planning activities for the manufacturing facility. Champion reliable supply from the site to primary hub and other sites within the network. Responsibilities also include reviewing and developing any corrective actions stemming from performance metric misses. Scope of processes managed: monthly site plan process, rough-cut capacity planning, constrained master production scheduling, materials requirements planning & materials supply, and detailed production scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage capacity planning requirements for the plant including business supply needs, new production pipeline volume builds and other plant project work.

• Provide a supply Plan to project Volume and Hours (unconstraint & constraint) to Finance partners.

• Reconciliation of a supply plan versus BP/LE Target

• Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacturing through planners and schedulers.

• Develop and implement production planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.

• Connect with Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning to ensure seamless flow of information and fully integrated approach to delivering key metrics - Customer Service, Inventory, and Cost

• Process owner for site inputs into the Supply S&OP process; owns the Latest Estimate (LE) process ensuring its capability to deliver customer service and inventory requirements.

• Manages the plant backorder ensuring appropriate communication is provided to customer service and key stakeholders, as appropriate.

• Plant point of contact for all supply issues and short-term escalation (STEM). Lead L4 STEM Review

• Proactively manages supply to meet unconstrained customer demand while minimizing cost.

• Manages new product launch requirements for in-house manufactured products.

• Responsible for short term and medium-term capacity planning

• Set clear performance standards to hold people accountable for results, deliver customer service goals, optimize inventory investments, and meet production requirements, safety targets, and GMP compliance goals.

• Build cross-functional and cross-departmental support, fostering overall group effectiveness

• Coach and guide teams / individuals to mine data from appropriate systems and able to conduct complex analysis for ad-hoc business requests.

• Develop and manage regional and global projects to deliver continuous improvement in KPI's.

• Develop, coach, and guide team in the execution of strategies and the realization of departmental and company goals.

• Recruits top planning talent and create leadership succession plans, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.

• Advances succession planning by holding career conversations with staff.

• Accountable supply chain representative on the plant leadership team

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

• University Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

• MBA or equivalent preferred

• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certifications desirable

• Supply Chain Certifications (APICS/ IBF) are desirable.

Years of Experience:

• Minimum 8 years related experience.

Experience Guidelines:

• 5+ years supply chain experience

• Minimum of 3 years people leadership experience

• Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems (APS/APO)

• Knowledge of relevant legislation - e.g., FDA/BSI Class III Medical Device Requirements, GMP, and ISO requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:

• Ability to develop, coach and lead a team in the execution of strategies and the realization of departmental and company goals.

• Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/virtual teams where required.

• Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling at all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.

• The ability to influence Director & VP Levels within the organization and in a matrix environment.

• Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.

• Working knowledge of financial processes

• Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning with exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.

• Proficient user of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.
