Production planners are responsible for all aspects of the weekly schedule for the product portfolio. Presenting status, projecting inventory position, and updating customers and suppliers of changes to forecast are integral parts of the role. Planners run scenarios and build tools to advise business partners of relevant data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, schedules and coordinates production resources for a range of products with low to moderate complexity and/or number to meet the Master Production Schedule and/or customer orders.
  • Resolves manufacturing resource and material availability issues affecting schedule.
  • Generates Work Orders and allocate associated materials.
  • Prepare weekly schedules align with MPS plan
  • Communicate production priorities and follow up as needed
  • Support production team to meet Schedule Attainment Target
  • Ensure Planning Parameters are reviewed every quarter (ex. Safety Stock, Lot size)
  • Understand and meet Planning main KPIs such as Attainment to Schedule (AtS), Schedule Attainment (SA) and Master Plan Attainment (MPS)
  • Optimize inventory to meet BP targets
  • Review "Excess & Obsolete (E&O) quarterly
  • Ensure SAP data and WO accuracy
  • Generates purchase requisitions as needed to support scheduled work orders.
  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
  • Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer.


Qualifications

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. A focused degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
  • 2 plus years of experience working with MPS/MRP in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel, is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures and process instructions on drawings is required.

Preferred:

  • Supply Chain Certification (APICS) desirable/ plus.
  • SAP, Windchill Doc experience desired/ plus.
