This position is within the Oncology Portfolio, Strategy & Operations team at Janssen Biotech, a Johnson & Johnson company. As part of the Marketing Engagements & Education Team (MEET), this role supports our Hematology portfolio by implementing speaker bureau strategies, analyzing program insights, and leading cross-functional teams. This role will also collaborate with multiple cross-functional leadership teams, including Brand Marketing, Sales Training, Medical Affairs, Health Care Compliance, Legal, Quality Assurance, North America Pharma Affiliates, Alliance Management, Communications, and external vendors, to successfully execute key commercial activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Development: Lead the Hematology segment of the Marketing Engagements & Education Team (MEET). Provide strong people and matrix team leadership, focusing on Speaker Bureau Insights/Metrics, Sponsorships and Advisory Boards.
  • Strategy & Collaboration: Deliver the vision of the expanded Marketing Engagement & Education Team. Act as a liaison between MEET and Hematology Marketing teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication. Develop and execute the Speaker Bureau strategy, sponsorships, and advisory boards.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with internal partners to create and maintain MEET policies and training, ensuring compliance and accountability across all initiatives. Establish a streamlined, consistent, and unified marketing operations model.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate across departments, including Commercial Excellence, Compliance, and Legal, to enhance the Speaker Bureau process and ensure effective execution of Hematology Speaker Programs, in line with J&J standard operating procedures.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, compliance, and procurement guidelines within all functions. Support the Director in developing, maintaining, and facilitating MEET policies and training.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovation. Lead the evaluation of tools and resources used for executing meetings and sponsorships, ensuring industry-leading practices are implemented for stakeholder experiences.
  • Innovation: Cultivate expertise across a range of marketing competencies by promoting a forward-thinking mindset that not only challenges industry norms but also inspires innovative ideas and strategies for the future.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant business experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector is required, with a minimum of 5 years in Sales, Training, Professional Education, Operations, Brand Marketing, Competitive Insights, Medical Affairs and/or related areas. A solid understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, including FDA regulations and compliance requirements, is essential.
  • Proven ability to implement business strategies and develop value propositions that align with company objectives, while effectively assessing brand needs across the portfolio in partnership with brand leadership.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, adept at building effective relationships across various functions and levels. Skilled in identifying risks and developing innovative, strategic solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple large-scale events and priorities at once.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight and weekend trips domestically, with limited international travel.
  • Commitment to in-office collaboration three days per week.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the US commercial business, with a focus on oncology preferred.
  • Proven skills in people management and development.
  • Extensive background in sales, marketing, and medical education, with experience in business planning processes.
  • Familiarity with internal Johnson & Johnson systems, including Totality, ARIBA, IMPROVE, iMedical, and CentrisDirect.
