Johnson and Johnson is recruiting a Principal Engineer, Privileged Access Management (PAM) based in the J&J office in Raritan, NJ, or remote with the capability to periodically travel into the Raritan, NJ office. A pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered.
As the Principal Engineer for Privileged Access Management, you will apply your extensive PAM experience and in-depth security expertise to deliver capabilities and support in line with the PAM service strategy. You will lead all aspects of the design, development, and integration of PAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the PAM vision, strategy and roadmap and lead the squad engineers implementing solutions that improve enterprise security posture
- Lead and coordinate squad engineers to build and maintain PAM capabilities, translating user stories from backlog into working solutions using modern design patterns and architectural principles
- Help squad members to problem-solve technical challenges and to improve delivery efficiency and increase throughput
- Mentor, coach and train technical team members on best-practices/principles and share knowledge to upskill the team
- Help to define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision to ensure solution is fit-for-purpose
- Be accountable for solutions delivered, ensuring they are of high quality, well-tested and documented, easy to maintain and standards-compliant
- Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end user experience, system quality and time-to-market
- Address technical debt, including any security debt carried by PAM systems
- Maximize use of existing technologies in new areas of applicability and use a thorough familiarity with current vendor offerings and capabilities to influence the PAM Product Roadmap
- Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes, and provides functional supervision.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Qualifications
Required
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years of broad Information Technology experience at an Enterprise Scale
- At least 3 years of experience in Information Security with significant experience of implementing and supporting leading IAM or PAM technologies
- Demonstrable experience engineering infrastructure traditional, virtual, or Cloud-deployed and/or Cloud-Native solutions
- Outstanding communication skills and proficiency in developing effective partnerships and relationships with all areas and levels of the organization.
- Ability to empower, encourage and lead diverse, global staff
Qualifications - Preferred
- Proven experience of deploying and supporting BeyondTrust PAM products (PRA, Password Safe)
- Proven track record in large projects, balancing multiple priorities and delivering results.
- Certifications in cybersecurity or IAM (e.g. CISM, CISSP, etc.)
- Relevant PAM vendor certifications

- Good interpersonal communication skills with strong spoken and written English
- Able to work with virtual and global multi-functional teams with the flexibility to work with team members in different time zones
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
