Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Accountable for all activities associated with the end to end delivery of new and updated package designs including request intake, concept development, testing, validations, approvals and commercialization.
  • Identify and mitigate Package Development risks. Drive quality output from each process from supplier and design inputs, through execution, and output.
  • Ensure responses to quality system findings (CAPA, nonconformance, audits) are consistent, robust, appropriate, and timely.
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Packaging/Labeling PMOs to ensure all global regulations are anticipated, understood, and adhered to on a timely basis for Package Development.
  • Develop talent and ensure the team's quality and compliance skills are continuously advancing.
  • Delivers projects using appropriate Process Excellence and project management tools and provide leadership to your team to grow their expertise in these areas.
  • Maintain project prioritization and communications with all levels of the organization.
  • Serves as a member of the DePuy Labeling & Packaging Leadership Team.
  • Develops new and efficient business processes to improve quality, service and cost.
  • Tracks and reports department performance metrics.
  • Understands and follows development processes accurately and as applicable while maintaining high quality
  • Mitigates project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
  • Actively coordinates the work of multiple team members.
  • Leads multiple parallel projects of different complexity and at various stages. Advances issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Interacts with senior leadership and major internal and external partners to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects
  • Operates within a budget, and may provide input on budget allocation and prioritization
  • Ensures that team members follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
  • Ensures personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or equivalent
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business management is preferred.


Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience is required
  • Organization and Talent Development is required.
  • Medical Device knowledge is required.
  • Experience partnering across geographies and organizations is required.
  • Experience within New Product Development, Manufacturing Processes and Quality is required.
  • Excellent communication, coping and interpersonal skills to motivate and persuade team members, is required.
  • Understanding of sterile barrier packaging system design verification is required.

Preferred:

  • Operations and Supply Chain experience is preferred.
  • Supplier Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of an end to end Supply Chain is preferred.
  • Understanding Regulations and Standards for packaging is preferred.
  • Process Excellence Green Belt / Black Belt preferred
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), Flawless Project Execution Training (FPX), or equivalent is preferred

Other:

  • 10% travel may be required.
  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is 100000 to 172500.

    The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. • Please use the following language:

      • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
