Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Summer 2025 - NPI Intern, located in 170 Baytech Drive, San Jose, CA 95134.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help support process improvement projects for Urology Manufacturing Lines
  • Complete equipment qualifications as needed for Urology Manufacturing Lines
  • Release documentation as needed in Agile PLM (MPIs, LHRs, equipment qualification protocols and reports)
  • Support fixture development using SolidWorks
  • Support time studies as needed by Bronchoscopy/Urology programs
  • Support engineering studies and root cause analysis investigations as needed by Bronchoscopy/Urology programs


Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent, completing minimum undergraduate sophomore year prior to internship start date.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Experience with SolidWorks including creating models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
  • Self-starter with a consistent track record of engaging in self-directed learning and remaining productive with minimal direction.
  • A strong eagerness to learn and apply engineering concepts to hands-on experience.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred:

  • Robotics or medical device experience.
  • Knowledge of FDA or regulatory guidance.
  • Prior internship or Co-op experience.

Other:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
  • Ability to relocate across the United States as required by the internship program.

The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $25.00/hr, Junior $26.00/hr, Senior $27.00/hr, Master's degree $33.00/hr.
