The Manager, Source-to-Contract, will ensure that the Regional Global Services Procurement (GSP) Source-to-Contract organization delivers results in support of the IT categories (IT Software) within Global Services, One Procurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business, category leaders, and the broader function. Additionally, you will contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, sourcing and contracting cases, and other critical functional activities.
This role manages a team of individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. The Manager, Source-to-Contract manages activities relating to the development of the organization's strategic sourcing plan, from maintaining supplier relationships through executing contract negotiation, authoring and management activities. The Manager, Source-to-Contract, works to identify and address needs of internal stakeholders, contributes improvements to procurement strategies and remains abreast on current market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
- Manages operational aspects of the team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines. Delivers against defined service levels.
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures.
- Oversee and actively participate in the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function for IT categories, including sourcing event management, price and other contract terms negotiaton, contract drafting and execution, and stakeholder management activities.
- Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, utilizing market intelligence, risk assessments, and total cost projections.
- Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.
- Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.
- Creates value by developing strong, value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to proactively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.
- Integrates Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
- An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 6-8 years of Procurement, Finance, or other relevant business experience
- Collaboration, communication & influencing skills: should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them
- Learning agility & openness to change
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is required
Preferred:
- Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred
- Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing including negotation of commercial and non-commercial terms, or category management
- Shared Services Industry experience is preferred
- IT Procurement experience is preferred
- People leadership experience is strongly preferred
Other:
Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $172,500.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis
