This opportunity will support leading a professional team of 2, working daily with Sr Business & Financial leaders, and learning about new medical advances in the J&J Innovative Medicine Portfolio!
Key Responsibilities:
- Running the financial results for the business units of Immunology & NRG (Neuroscience, Rare Disease, General Medicines). Lead the Month End & Quarter End Close including the management of all Actual vs Plan variance analyses, and related financials to CFO.
- Financial Advisor to the most Sr leaders in those businesses.
- Reporting to the CFO, and working collaboratively with the Sr Finance Manager, and the Finance Community on the operations in the Finance Function.
- Manage a team of 2 staff carrying out the above responsibilities. Handle the day-to-day leadership and performance of the team. This includes: identifying goals and objectives management, and professional development and coaching for strong performance.
- Support SigniFI Enterprise Technology changes (Anaplan, IBP, AFO)
- This role is also responsible for developing strong business partnerships with key cross-functional areas and other finance groups (NA Pharm and Global Services).
- This opportunity is based in Toronto with J&J Flex expectations (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Qualifications
Education:
- University Bachelors or equivalent degree, coupled with qualified accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA)
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of progressive & diverse experience within several finance & accounting related functions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead & manage a team of finance professionals.
- Customer focused business partner with proven ability to successfully partner with and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to prepare and clearly & concisely present complex financial analytics and insights to senior business and financial partners.
- Understanding of accounting principles, and ability to manage a strong compliance environment
- Business Unit Finance (BUF) experience with an understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical industry preferred.
