Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Maintenance MRO Specialist to join our MAKE Asset Management Organization located in US Large Molecule Drug Substance Site located in Wilson, North Carolina. This role will support a new site startup, as such it may require periods of heightened travel to support these activities. This travel would be during the site ramp up period and dependent on functional needs and project timelines (in some cases frequent travel and or short terms stays with vendors, sister companies, partners).
While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site. For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC. Based on your current location the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements. In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 25%.

Position Summary:
The MAM (MAKE Asset Management) organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Execution Systems solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.
The Maintenance Spare Parts Lead reports to the Maintenance Systems Manager and is responsible for coordinating the functions of the parts storeroom, including receive, inspect, store, distribute, kit/assemble, cycle count, obtain quotes, order, process master data in SAP. Be the key interface for the warehouse to the site and operations for parts questions and operational improvements. Responsibilities include Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on storeroom operations, SAP CMMS, customer relationship management, supplier relationship management, contracts and EHS Compliance as it relates to storeroom operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support new equipment projects ensuring all spare parts are ordered, received and stored following the site's SOP and best practices.
- Develop storeroom and spare parts SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Ensures that storeroom operations are delivered to targets. Coordinates with suppliers and internal customers on both business standards and standardized expectations.
- The incumbent is the operational interface between the customers and parts vendors.
- Directs the organization of incoming and outgoing materials for verification against shipping documentation.
- Ensures that reviews of orders and pull items are done and staged correctly so that they can be delivered to user department.
- Verifies that all inventory and receiving transactions are registered in the CMMS system to ensure up-to-date availability of information to end-users as well as timely payment to suppliers
- Oversees the generation of inventory reports and reviews the compiled list of shortages, expired products and other issues for management and reordering.
- Ensures all shipping documents, inspection records are filed properly and correctly updated in the system
- Registers all inventory and receiving transactions in the system to ensure up-to-date availability of information to end-users as well as timely payment to suppliers.
- Maintains effective communication with the initiative or project team
- Ensures cGMP compliance of initiative activities including adherence to applicable SOP's, Change Control Processes, Work Order Processes, and the Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA's) process.
- Ensure that the users have adequate and effective SAP training to perform required storeroom functions
- Recognizes and acts on potential compliance issues and opportunities for process changes/improvement.
- Work with Equipment OEM's and suppliers to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Participate on site-wide project teams and business initiatives as assigned.
- Generates inventory reports and compiles a list of shortages, expired products and other issues for management.
- Ensures all shipping documents, inspection records are filed properly and correctly updated in the system
- Participates in inventory audits, compiles and submits audit data to supervisor/warehouse lead
Qualifications
Education:
- A High School diploma or a GED with 4 years of related experience OR an Associates degree with 2 years of related experience is required
Required:
- Detail and goal oriented, teamwork, and customer-focus
- Prior warehouse or parts stockroom experience
- Influencing skills, partnering and collaboration skills, analytical skills, conflict and risk management skills, critical thinking and good oral and written presentation skills are required.
- Experience with SAP, Maximo or equivalent
- Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Technical background in manufacturing requirements, engineering elements, etc.
• Knowledge of cGMP's for Maintenance in an FDA regulated environment.
• Experience of materials management.
• Experience of SAP MM.
• Forklift/reach truck license.
• Experience in green or brown field GMP MFG facility start-up including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations.
