JOB SUMMARY

Reports to the Manufacturing Manager. Supervise a group of associates in order to meet company-manufacturing goals. Participates in the day-to-day operations with responsibilities for producing products at minimum costs consistent with quality specifications and production schedules.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

1. Lead and drive an assigned group of people ensuring optimal use of equipment, personnel and materials.

2. Identify, analyze and implement alternatives to improve product quality.

3. Lead and drive non-conformances investigation upon resolution.

4. Drive and facilitate employee involvement to meet Quality and Compliance requirements.

5. Track and monitor quality requirements and production's needs.

6. Monitors lines performance and work operations ensure that EPS rules are followed.

7. Communicate operations status and issues to people involved in the manufacturing performance (IPT).

8. Facilitate communication to associates.

9. Create a CREDO based environment within his/her direct reports.

10. Monitor and improve efficiency of direct reports to meet targets.

11. Praise employees to promote a recognition environment.

12. Apply company discipline policies and follow through behavior change.

13. Analyze conflicts and problems on areas of responsibility and provide appropriate and timely responses.

14. Enforce safe practices in the use of machinery and equipment.

15. Maintain a safe environment anticipating and solving emerging situations.

16. Report production daily.

17. Request and use information from management that would help to do a better job in planning, organizing, communicating or facilitating employees.

18. Identify, analyze and implement alternatives to reduce costs.

19. Evaluate associates twice a year.

20. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

21. Ensure continuous improvement of operational processes Comply with all environmental, safety

and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001)

22. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

23. Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION


• Associate Degree is required, Bachelor's preferred (Science, Engineering or Business Administration major)

• A minimal of 6 or more years of related work experience will be required.

• For college hire, at least six (6) months of experience in the manufacturing regulated industry is required; previous COOP and/or internship experience will be considered.

• Experience in process engineering, automation engineering, supervision or similar role is preferred.

• Must have availability to work in a 3rd, 2nd and 1st shift as required..

• Six Sigma or Lean certifications will be preferred.

• Advanced computer skills and use of software application(s) including MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) are required.

• Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish, oral and written) is required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to continuously stand and walk long distances.

• May require up to ten percent (10%) of travel.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and

1. Bilingual (Spanish & English)

2. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with a focus on outstanding leadership ability.

3. Position requires leadership skills in associate involvement and teamwork, initiative, creativity, assertiveness, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills.

4. Must be and agile learner who can manage change and work under pressure achieving consistently

5. Advance computer skills and use of software application(s).

6. Planning, scheduling, progress measurement and negotiation skills.

Other:

  • This position will require up to 10% travel.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
