This is an exciting role where you will help define our integrated digital experience strategy, implement technical standards and sound engineering practices. The role will have a direct impact on driving our vision for enabling the best experiences for our patients and healthcare professionals. We strive to build high quality, resilient, scalable, architecturally sound systems that are aligned with our business needs. We're looking to identify a highly skilled engineer who can work multi-functionally to translate business needs into workable technology solutions. The expected expertise is deep and broad. We are looking for someone that is hands on, producing both detailed technical work and high-level architectural design and vision.

As a part of the Digital Experience Platform team, you will be at the forefront of technologies interacting with the full breadth of Enterprise Platforms and Technologies: Cloud: AWS & Azure, Security and Performance technologies such as Cloudflare, Akamai, and New Relic, Integration Technologies such as Mulesoft, Python, 3rd Party Integrations and Front-End Frameworks such as Next.JS or React. You will be working with passionate, driven, excited individuals who believe that providing world class technology is critical to providing the best health care products in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically design digital experience architecture to build-in full stack capabilities enhancing user experience
  • Focus on dynamic microservices , API-first, Cloud-native: and Headless front-end approach.
  • Build reusable services for flexible architectures designed for multichannel ecommerce web/mobile applications.
  • Resiliency and automation embedded by design to run all digital products and applications easily.
  • Work with our technology partners to extend and integrate sector platforms/solutions into our ecosystem.
  • Work directly with business partners, developers/architects/product owners to drive Intelligent Automation solutions as part of the Digital Experience.
  • Maintain uptime of all systems through high-availability architecture, monitoring of utilization and availability, performance and overall system health.
  • Interact with global technologists around the world building global and regional services and relationships with some of the most talented, passionate, caring individuals in the world.
  • Be a champion of cultural change, process change, quality and skills training required to transform and scale our teams.


Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a Computer Science or relevant field
  • Highly analytical and be calm in the face of fast-moving environments.
  • Experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment (Service Oriented Architecture).
  • Experience with source code management tools using Git, such as Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with AWS and its services including, but not limited, to S3, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and Rekognition.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure Cloud Platform) and its services including, but not limited to S3, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, and Rekognition.
  • Hands-on experience with CDN and WAF (Cloudflare, Akamai).
  • Experience with major platforms/frameworks (Brightcove, Sectigo, Solr, microservices, Drupal, Apigee, Mulesoft, Python, Tableau, Qlik, Javascript, Terraform)
  • Must be independent and flexible, with solid communication skills and strong customer focus.
  • Ability to build, foster, and manage partner and customer relationships.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
  • Ability to take a systematic problem-solving approach with issues, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and experience using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Life Sciences business experience

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Firm understanding of Scrum, Agile, SaFe software development concepts.
