Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Package Engineering Intern, located in Irvine, CA. Our Johnson & Johnson Summer Intern Program is a comprehensive learning and professional experience in package engineering at one of the world's leading health care companies. We are seeking a motivated and diligent Package Engineering Intern to join our team. The intern will play a vital role in supporting package development projects by coordinating project plans, completing engineering tasks, and ensuring efficient communication within the cross functional team and with leadership. This position supports the Biosense Webster company.

Responsibilities:
Under supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Support the package development activities for Biosense Webster. This will include new package development and / or improvements to existing package systems.
- Build working relationships with business partners such as R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Sterility Assurance, and others in support of project execution.
- May include interaction with with outside suppliers for packaging design development, evaluation, and testing.
- Document all packaging and labeling design, development, and testing to comply with FDA design control regulations.
- Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and always maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or scientific field; Package Engineering preferred.
- For students pursuing their Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, Juniors or Seniors are preferred.
- Candidates must be available to work Full-time (40 hours/week) during the Intern session.
- Be available to travel to the office having suitable transportation means. This is a hybrid work schedule with up to 3 days in the office.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B or F1 status are not eligible)
- Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for the healthcare industry preferred.
- Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
- Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Proficiency with Auto-Cad and / or SolidWorks is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
