The MedTech Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Value, Analytics & Evidence Associate, within the Global MedTech HEMA Value, Analytics & Evidence team, will support the work of Americas Regional HEMA, EMEA Regional HEMA, and Franchise HEMA teams.

The objective responsibility is to support the execution of HEMA strategies through the development and execution of HEMA evidence and analytics projects (RWE, data analytics, SLR...). Through these projects, the HEMA associate will ensure a competitive advantage & market access across Americas and EMEA healthcare markets. The outcomes of these projects are expected to be data insights, publications, and or value tools for use and dissemination into the Americas and EMEA.

This position reports directly into the Director RWE EMEA and Global VBHC Analytics, with a dotted line to the Global VBHC Director RWE VBHC Americas Res Ops, Value, Analytics & Evidence, HEMA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate needs and requirements into research questions. Identify the right database and HEMA tool (e.g. RWE, dashboard) to answer the question
  • Develop and implement solution (e.g. develop study protocols, implement analyses, generate outputs)
  • Support interpretation of results and final publication/presentation/visualization tools
  • Other technical supports, e.g. provide training and consultation, support VBAs, develop AI tools, evaluate external data and vendors


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor level education is required in statistics, computer science, econometrics, or health economics or related fields. Master's degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Technical Skills

  • Combination of strong methodological quantitative knowledge, innovative thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Uses functionally appropriate methodologies to answer business questions and develop new business insights that can take many different forms depending on the needs (market insights, dashboards, evidence generation study...)
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods and data analytics
  • Collect, query, clean, and analyze quantitative data for analysis using SQL, SAS, R, or Python.

Persuasive Communication

  • Communicates (internally and externally) complex/ technical information clearly and confidently, using a storytelling approach, in order to influence the achievement of the best outcome for all collaborators.
  • This includes written technical, visual communications that are influential, meaningful and tailored to the audience and business needs e.g., dashboards, abstracts, publications.

Project management

  • Project management skills, with the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commits to results, ensures schedules and deadlines are met, and advise their manager if contingency plans are required to mitigate risks.

Preferred:

  • Ensure awareness and use of new and evolving digital techniques (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Intelligent Automation (IA)
  • Applies data visualization tools such as Tableau to make insights understandable to internal and external customers.
  • Some prior experience using healthcare data and other longitudinal data sets
  • Supports multi-disciplinary project teams.

Other:

  • Travel percentage - up to 10%, national and international
