Scope of Responsibilities:

This role reports to the CFO JNJ MedTech Surgery and will provide financial and business leadership to drive both the short-and long-term strategies for the Surgery Supply Chain and Business Units. Additionally, you will provide direct business partner support to the Supply Chain VPs supporting these business units and will be a member of the Surgery Supply Chain Leadership team. This position is key to maximizing value within the supply chain, managing a high degree of complexity within demand/supply, ensuring quality, and making the very best decisions across a diverse network of internal and external manufacturing to support the growth agenda for MedTech.

Key Activities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a diverse team of 100+ associates (including 4 Director level direct reports) located in 30 manufacturing sites based across North America, South America, Europe and Asia
  • Develop, adjust, implement and maintain organizational design that supports global business partners in multiple locations worldwide.
  • Develop functional goals and objectives that are aligned with the Finance and business goals and objectives.
  • Provide an environment for professional growth of staff which includes actionable feedback, recognition and rewards
  • Provide coaching and mentoring in support of the staff's development plan
  • Provide leadership to the supply chain and commercial teams in support of over $9B of sales, multi-billion of COGS, inventory, and prioritize significant capital investments
  • Decision making & funding prioritization across Franchises and Supply Chain Functions
  • Supply Chain related insights to drive key Strategic Initiatives and current year plans
  • Lead consolidations and analysis on both a forecast and actual basis to understand main drivers of costs and highlight cost improvement opportunities.

• Provide leadership and support to the Vice President of Surgery Supply Chain and Commercial team. Partner with the Surgery Company Group Chair to deliver Strategic imperatives

  • Drive value creation through: cost improvement initiatives, capital investment decisions, product portfolio and asset reconfiguration activities.
  • Base business improvement to deliver simplicity and agility for planning and reporting, drive effectiveness in the control environment
  • Ensuring SOX controls and compliance standards are fully met for all processes
  • Support the Surgery CFO in various adhoc analysis and coordination of financial requirements,
  • Drive increased value creation through new product launches
  • Perform external and internal benchmarking to enhance value.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; preferably with major in Accounting or Finance.
  • An MBA, CPA, CMA and/or other financial certifications are strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience is required.

• Prior experience driving integration and standardization of Supply Chain activities is preferred.

  • Strong cost accounting skills are preferred.
  • Prior people management and Supply Chain experiences is required.
  • Previous experience representing local statutory requirements, union negotiations and/or audits is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively in an international matrix environment possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills; they will also have the ability to communicate across all cultures and levels of the organization.
  • A proven track record of influencing/leading peers and business partners and interacting with Senior Management is required.
  • Strong communication skills (presentations, listening, written skills) are required.

• This position will be based out of New Jersey and will require up to 25% travel (domestic and/or international)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $299,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

    • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
    • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
    • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
