Reports to the Senior Finance Manager, with a dotted line to the Biosurgery SC Finance Director, Biosurgery SL Site Director, and E2E ORC Value Stream Leader. Directs, coordinates, and controls all financial activities at the plant and within the E2E ORC value stream. Responsibilities include plant accounting, cost budgets, general accounting, overall plant cost control leadership, and E2E ORC value stream financial leadership. Maintains the financial records of the company's assets. Provides recommendations and addresses financial concerns for the company. This role will have one direct report.

  • Deliver Insights and Drive Efficiencies: Craft and deliver actionable insights to enhance the production value of ORC products at SL and Athens. Partner with Plant Leadership and ORC value stream leader to drive efficiencies through data analysis and insights.
  • Leverage Technology: Stabilize SAP Hana and adopt Signifi to drive efficiency and simplification.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally on portfolio optimization, NPI, and strategic project prioritization to enable margin improvement. Assist plant management and value stream leader in achieving financial goals.
  • Capital Expenditure Management: Evaluate and monitor capital expenditures. Integrate financial data for operations into the overall company plan.
  • Financial Impact Analysis: Analyze the financial impact of new work methods or processes. Resolve new reporting requirements accompanying such changes. Coordinate the planning of financial activities associated with the plant (e.g., capital requirements, cost studies, inventory).
  • Policy Recommendations: Recommend new or improved Operations Accounting Policies related to plant activity. Provide direction for the preparation of manufacturing and administration budgets, standard costs, and special projects.
  • Cost Management: Direct the development of standard product costs based on specifications developed with production and planning personnel. Assist production management in establishing factors for material waste and yield, direct labor, and manufacturing burden budgets. Collaborate with manufacturing to control and reduce costs by analyzing and interpreting cost reports and developing cost reduction programs.
  • Financial Forecasting: Direct the preparation of financial forecasts and the consolidation and distribution of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, return on investment, and other financial metrics.
  • Issue and Opportunity Presentation: Present business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • Compliance: Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required) in Business Administration with a major in Finance, Accounting, or Economy. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of specific business practices and software applications.
  • Experience maintaining ledgers and other fiscal documents.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish & English) required
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in software applications, including SAP Hana, etc.
  • Position based in San Lorenzo with 25% travel required. Must be able to travel to other Biosurgery locations (e.g., Athens, GA) as business needs arise.
