You will play a crucial role in specifying and selecting automation packaging equipment that meets detailed production standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated automated equipment and contribute to cutting-edge technology developments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products for our medical device customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specify and select equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure processing capacity and capabilities align with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop and implement automation solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize packaging processes to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2 years of experience with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance practices and regulatory requirements for medical devices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with professional judgment to address significant technical challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in delivering effective management-level presentations, writing formal reports that cover both technical and business implications, and preparing detailed project plans.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively across all management levels in a cross-functional team setting.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including programming and code writing
  • Background in vision systems, robotics, and automation technologies
  • Knowledge of Computer Integrated Manufacturing systems
  • Experience with high-speed automated equipment
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, and/or GMP regulatory standards
  • Understanding of BSI (European) regulatory requirements
  • Experience in Process Excellence and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt)

Other:

  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel less than 10% for equipment procurement.
