We are seeking a motivated R&D Engineering Intern to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the medical device industry, working directly with seasoned engineers and designers. You'll assist in modeling and creating detailed drawings of medical devices using SolidWorks, support our document management efforts to ensure FDA compliance, and contribute to prototyping and product development brainstorming sessions. You will gain communication skills and a deeper understanding of the orthopedics business by working with our cross-functional partners in quality, operations, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling and Technical Drawings:

Utilize SolidWorks to create and modify 3D models of medical devices.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings to accompany the models.
Ensure that all designs meet technical and industry specifications.
Document Management:

Assist in organizing and maintaining R&D documentation in accordance with FDA regulations.
Support the preparation and revision of documents required for Design History Files.
Ensure all documentation practices align with quality management systems.
Prototyping and Development:

Participate in prototyping efforts, including preparation, testing, and analysis.
Contribute ideas during product development brainstorming sessions.
Assist in evaluating the feasibility of new product concepts.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
