JOM provides distribution services for all Janssen Brands of products and is responsible for US and international distribution of finished good product including clinical trial distribution and order processing supporting researched & development initiatives.

As the Distribution Center Supervisor, you will have the daily responsibility to lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse operators to ensure the fulfillment of daily orders. In addition, you will problem-solve both daily and future challenges in a fast-pace environment. This role has an intense focus and dedication to delivering a high-quality product and processes that support the delivery that focus.

Your primary responsibility will be to identify area for improvement, build future capabilities, implement new technologies, and lead the implementation of the associated projects. You will work cross-functionally, interacting and influencing all levels of the Janssen and Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain. You will also work with both internal, external, and regulatory partners as a representative of JOM, Janssen, and Johnson & Johnson.

Your other principal responsibilities include establishing and supervising department operating budgets, disciplinary action, Performance Development process, developing, reporting and maintaining department measures, GMP compliance, safety process, project initiation and developing continuous improvement, equipment maintenance, participate, and/or lead in cross -functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead team to ensure customer orders are process and shipped on-time and accurately.
  • Mentor and facilitate teams to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Drive successful obtainment of Distribution goals and metrics including analyzing and identifying trends to lead process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead investigations of all deviations to process and document findings in accordance with Quality Management System.
  • Communicate issues and strategies to Operating Companies and Distribution management, and support marketing initiatives and new product launches for the Pharmaceutical Sector.
  • Form and participate on cross-functional teams that encompass various departments and multi-level members, as well as partner with organizations outside the organization.
  • Maintain and manage departmental budget.
  • Demonstrate a customer mindset and dedication to high quality.
  • Represent Johnson & Johnson United States Pharmaceutical Sector during customer visits and trade shows (e.g. Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals).
  • Lead safety initiatives to ensure execution of all Federal, State and J&J Safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Act as Process Champion for the Safety Management Action Plan by identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions through new project initiatives or cross - functional teams.
  • Attend conferences and benchmark companies to identify state of the art technologies, regulatory changes, business opportunities, and new customer requirements, as well as recognize and communicate the need for change and drives the change process.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of Trade School, Certificate or Associates is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience is required, in a distribution or warehouse setting preferred
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, assertiveness, and leadership skills
  • Project Management and/or Process Excellence experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • MS Office Suite proficiency required, including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred:

  • People leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Inventory Management experience
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Practices (GxP)
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience preferred within any of the following areas: distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain
  • Certification in Project Management or Process Excellence is a plus

Other:

  • Requires up to 10% domestic travel
