Job Duties: Execute biology-specific strategic initiatives that deliver long-term strategies. Conduct complex analytics and qualitative assessments to deliver key insights and integrate input from multiple functions and therapeutic areas within Janssen. Provide deep external insights on the long-term view of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry to Strategic Leadership. Deliver short-term execution on long-term strategic priorities for the R&D group, while defining key near- and mid-term deliverables and measures. Lead and launch key growth and acceleration projects with the objective of translating biological thoughts into actions to obtain necessary results. Provide strategic biological input and operational expertise to R&D management review, including scenario development, trade-off implications, and the evaluation and assessment of capital investment opportunities.

Qualifications

Requirements: Employer will accept a Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences, Immunology, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Director Strategic Initiatives-related occupation.

Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.

  • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
