At Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions, we're changing the trajectory of health for humanity, using robotics to enhance healthcare providers' abilities and improve patients' diagnoses, treatments, and recovery times. You'll collaborate on breakthrough medical technologies that unite multiple subject areas to build a connected digital ecosystem that advances medical professionals' skills and improves patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Director OTTAVA Product Strategy, - Release 1, will be part of the OTTAVA Platform Strategy team based in Santa Clara, CA. This person will be responsible for leading the OTTAVA marketing strategy for a particular launch and contribute to the multi-generational product plan and roadmap for OTTAVA.

The primary objectives of this role include:

  • Develop and Lead Product Strategy:
  • Define OTTAVA product Strategy in collaboration with other GSM leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify Customer insights and Competitive landscape to appropriately define the needs for Platform.
  • Develop the Target Product Profile (TPP) for the release ensuring clear definition of the segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
  • Work across OTTAVA organization to ensure that product features and functionality align with the needs of customers and deliver the benefits.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy:
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for the release to ensure seamless product launches and adoption across target markets.
  • Define the target customer segments and position the product to meet their needs partnering cross-functionally.
  • Partner to define the Pricing Strategy for OTTAVA and influence the Commercial Business Models for the release.
  • Define Platform Claims and Evidence Generation Strategy.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional and commercial regional partners to prepare the release for launch.
  • Product Strategy Execution:
  • Ensure execution of the release strategy as a Core Team Member of the Release Leadership Team, along with strong partnership across the sub-system marketing teams (I&A, Hardware, Software & Digital).
  • Partnering with Platform Leadership on business models and portfolio prioritizations within the release
  • Partner with Platform leadership on identifying and partnering with internal or external partnerships.
  • People leadership
  • Develop a high-performing and diverse team


Qualifications

  • A BS/BA or undergraduate degree is required
  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of industry experience in medical devices/healthcare technology
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience within in a marketing or similar role is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to successfully work across functional and geographic boundaries, preferably across multiple countries/market types/access models is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence broadly without direct authority is required.
  • Strong ability to lead, direct, and critically assess quantitative business analysis is required.
  • Proven Strategic thinking and Strategic marketing skills in support of product development is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and timelines in a fast paced, dynamic environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience defining the go-to-market strategy and launching a medical device required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive decisions at all levels of the organization is required
  • Commercially savvy with knowledge of cross-functional processes in R&D, Finance, Service, Quality, Supply Chain is highly desirable.
  • Experience with soft-tissue robotics is preferred.
  • Experience with capital equipment is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-generational release products is preferred.
  • The ability to be based in Santa Clara, CA and travel up to 25% (domestic and international)

The anticipated base pay for this role is $167,000 to $289,800.
