We are recruiting for a Director of MedTech Education for Spine Robotics, Enabling, and Core Technologies to advance the clinical acumen of those who sell or use our products and solutions with the goal of keeping people moving.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with senior leadership to achieve business objectives and develop the Spine global vision, mission, goals for education strategy for spine commercial sales consultants.
  • Works closely with MedTech Education Leadership Team, Platform President, heads of Sales & Marketing, and Region/Key Country Business Unit Directors.
  • Maintains a best-in-class sales force with responsibility for the full commercial education journey for approximately 750 plus commercial associates in USA and EMEA.
  • Oversee the professional education of Robotic, Enabling and Digital technology for healthcare professionals (HCPs) to prepare and launch a new to market robotic and emerging technology portfolio.
  • Accountable for attracting, staffing, developing, and retaining a diverse team of education professionals and exhibit strong fiscal management of education budget.
  • Leadership responsibility for assuring tools, policies and procedures is developed and coordinated to support and comply with all legal, regulatory and HCC policies to include Advamed, PharMa, ACCME, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop talent to include leveraging functional competency models, recruitment, on-boarding, training/development and succession planning; foster a high-performance environment and culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • • Foster strong partnerships with Sales and Marketing leaders to align resources that support strategic regional growth opportunities and ensure that the education priorities align to strategic priorities.
  • • Collaborate with the EdTech skills team to transform the online training experience for Summit, Axonify, Johnson & Johnson Institute.com and other EdTech solutions through domain knowledge and experience of what is possible in the realm of EdTech.
  • • Lead teams to develop and deliver traditional surgical and capital selling skills pathways of varying depths and complexities for core and enabling technologies, for the field selling organization.
  • • Lead teams to launch new education and social channels by removing obstacles and barriers, collaboration with various business partners (Legal, Compliance, Privacy, etc.)
  • • Optimize the J&J Institute Customer Experiences by implementing branding, environment, technology, and workflow standards for events
  • • Recruit, and partner with key faculty and thought leaders to design and deliver education content to internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Accountability for annual business plan, KPI tracking and achieving operating budget.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years in Education, Sales, Marketing or other Commercial Function in Medical Devices
  • Minimum of 8 years successfully leading teams (including other managers) is required
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field required
  • Proven history of translating strategy into solutions that support the company's business goals.
  • Strong influence management and executive communications skills

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Robotics/Navigation highly preferred
  • Experience with Digital/Virtual education methods specifically for digital and enabling technology surgical solutions
  • Experience working on or with global teams
  • Experience on Orthopedics/ Spine Industry

Other:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop internal and external networks
  • Overnight travel may be required up to 40%, including potential international travel
