We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Medical Excellence Strategy supporting the Hematology portfolio. The successful candidate will drive initiatives that identify care gaps, embed health equity into our Medical Affairs strategy, lead implementation of Medical Omnichannel strategy, and develop impact metrics. This leadership role will require a strategic problem solver who excels in a matrixed environment and has a consistent track record in Pharmaceutical or adjacent industry, preferably in Medical Affairs with a focus on Oncology. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and monitor care gaps within the Hematology portfolio to inform Medical strategy and quantify Medical impact.
  • Integrate health equity principles into the Medical Affairs strategy, ensuring that all initiatives support equitable access to innovative therapies.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Medical Excellence strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of the Medical Excellence framework to measure the impact of Medical Affairs strategy on access and adoption of our transformational therapies.
  • Co-develop a robust Medical Omnichannel strategy to optimize communication and engagement with healthcare professionals.
  • Cultivate cross-functional collaboration with internal partners, including Strategy, Analytics, and Transformation (STAT), Scientific Affairs (SA), Healthcare Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure innovative approaches are compliant and aligned to organizational capabilities.
  • Navigate and innovate within an ambiguous and constantly evolving environment, both internally and externally
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Medical Affairs department, encouraging team members to develop creative solutions.


Qualifications

Education:

  • MD, PharmD, PhD, and/or MBA

Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years in the Pharma industry or adjacent fields, with Medical Affairs experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in Oncology.

Other:

  • Proven track record to lead with the capacity to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and driving innovative solutions.
  • Approximately 10% travel required
