Position Summary

This position manages and oversees Global Professional Relations. Primary responsibilities include managing and developing professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (Private Practice, Hospitals, Private Equity, and Academic Centers).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Key Opinion Leader engagement strategies that support our business at Johnson & Johnson Vision (Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Medical, R&D).
  • Identify, plan and engage key customers with focused activities through customer segmentation, while elevating relationships across JJV leadership. Primary focus on "Market Leaders" and "Market Influencers".
  • Lead established KOL management including contract and budget management, quarterly utilization reviews, and ongoing professional relationship engagement, including but not limited to 1:1 meetings, Tier 1 and Tier 2 congresses, Advisory board participation, Speaker Programs, and Voice of Customer initiatives.
  • Elevate thought leadership and increase share of voice at the podium through cross-functional collaboration with Director, Medical & Scientific Engagement, Global Strategic Marketing and US/Global Professional Relations.
  • Lead ongoing identification and management of developing KOL's in Future Leaders programs in Ophthalmology/Optometry.
  • In partnership with Sr. Director of Global Professional Education, establish an maintain a global KOL database that effectively supports our business.
  • Leverage globally recognized KOLs in high growth markets utilizing opportunities at international congresses as well as digital platforms to expand our reach with current and future technologies.
  • Participate in DEI opportunities in eye care through avenues such as (but not limited to) WIO (Women in Ophthalmology) and NMA (National Medical Association).


Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, areas of study in Business/Management or related field is preferred. Graduate Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years healthcare experience is required.
  • Prior people management experience is preferred.
  • Must be highly efficient with computer technology related to customer management and budgeting.
  • Track record of interacting professionally and effectively manage relationships with clinicians (MD, DO, ODs) is required
  • Eye care work industry experience is preferred.
  • Up to 50% business travel (domestic and international) may be required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is as follows:

Jacksonville FL or Irvine CA: $160,000 to $276,000.

Milpitas CA: $197,000 to $317,400.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year.
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year.
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year.
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
