The Director, Commercial Innovation, OTTAVA will be responsible for building the OTTAVA strategy for customer support and value-added services as OTTAVA prepares to launch in regions across the globe. The Director, Commercial Innovation, OTTAVA will report into the Senior Director, Commercial Excellence. This role will partner across Surgery to ensure we are able to provide correct offerings to the customer at the right time, augmenting our existing suite of offerings where needed. This role requires strong collaboration skills and partnership with sales, marketing, professional education, service solutions, commercial operations, contracting and the Polyphonic team.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design the end-to-end deployment of the customer support team that will enable the successful integration and adoption of the Ottava program within the hospital system.
- Enable smooth experiences to maximize adoption of OTTAVA across all user personas (e.g. Nurses, Surgeons, Robotic Coordinators, OR Director, IT department).
- Support new system integration, connectivity, scheduling, inventory management and cleaning & sterilization for hospital systems.
- Provide consultative support for OR optimization, efficiency, inventory management, patient engagement & activation, and marketing across open, lap and robotics.
- Implement data & analytics to drive system adoption .
- Support education and training strategies for various user personas.
- Provide career development, performance management, and coaching employees to assist in talent development.
- Foster teamwork, diversity, and inclusion within team, between teams and other groups.
- The role builds and champions a collaborative team culture and continuous team integration. The role inspires and provides team member motivation and recognition.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years of relevant hospital or healthcare industry experience is required.
- Bachelor's/undergraduate degree is required.
- An MBA is preferred.
- Prior experience with implementation of complex capital equipment or software is preferred.
- Prior experience on commercial launch is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles is required.
- Previous experience with or knowledge of operating room (OR) optimization, efficiency, inventory management, patient engagement & activation, and marketing across open and/or laparoscopic and/or robotic surgery is required.
- 5+ years of people management experience (inclusive of indirect or direct reports) is highly beneficial.
- Strong technical expertise and business acumen within strategic planning and execution is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively is required.
- Demonstrated success in partnering and influencing across a matrix environment is required.
- Strong ability to drive strategic planning and operational excellence is required.
- Demonstrated effective change leadership and change management skills are required.
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity is required.
- The ability to actively develop talent and culture to achieve results.
- 50% Domestic and International travel required.
The anticipated base pay for this role is $167,000 to $289,800.
