Innovative Medicine, L.L.C., a division of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting an Intern, Data Science (Hybrid), in Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Data Sciences. The R&D Data Science team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is driven to meaningfully change the trajectory of disease with transformational medicines to advance the care of patients in the communities we serve. The team utilizes a diverse set of data and tools, along with platform solutions to answer impactful analytical questions and inform key projects from discovery all the way through late development. This role is hybrid and sits within the Data Solutions, Management, and Pipelines team which provides the data assets, platforms and domain-rich data expertise on-demand across multiple disease areas.

Position Components
In this role, you will
• Using hands-on exploration to gain exposure and experience to and familiarity with Data Management and Data Analytics Platforms.
• Supporting data governance and data management for many types of datasets including RWE
• Supporting data platforms and solutions
• Stay informed on cutting edge applications and use cases of data and tools, and platform solutions supporting the data science field and present back to the team through trainings and presentations.
• Other activities may include writing python code or constructing a tableau report.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
- Be currently pursuing a degree in biological sciences, computer science, bioinformatics, engineering, or related degrees
- Possess a strong understanding of Biological Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, Digital Health or related field as demonstrated by current or prior coursework
- Possess strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills (technical and/or business)
- Possess familiarity and knowledge of Data Processing, Data Management, Data Platforms, and exploring and conducting analyses on datasets
- Possess some exposure of Knowledge of programming code skills in Python or R or SQL.
- Strong interest in the exploration of innovative research using Digital Health, Real World Data, and gaining data domain knowledge
Preferred:
- Coursework or background in biological sciences, python, computer science, information systems, biomedical engineering, and other life sciences
- Have prior experience thru other internships/jobs with hands-on data platforms, data management, data engineering and/or data science
- Prior independent or classroom research experience on a data-focused project
- Experience with relevant disease biology in cancer, immunology, or neuroscience
