The Office of MedTech Strategy Team shapes and evolves the JJMT strategy through a deep understanding of our end markets, the competitive landscape, and the drivers of our businesses. We uncover competitive & market insights that inform critical decision-making, enabling J&J MedTech to grow market share, accelerate sales, and optimize our portfolio.

This 6-month co-op position will integrate academic study with related on-the-job experience. The MedTech Competitive Insights & Forecasting Co-Op will analyze competitor earnings reports and industry conferences, while also delivering key insights through competitive sales reports, competitive P&L benchmarking, and external environmental landscape assessments. This individual will also cross-develop with the Financial Planning & Forecasting team, providing ad hoc support during peak forecasting seasons.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver timely reviews of sales, market, and share performance, identifying market trends and performance drivers

• Coordinate forecast modeling, secondary data analysis, and evaluation of existing and new markets

• Evaluate past company performance, as well as geographic, market, and competitor trends, to generate insights that facilitate decision making

• Deliver high-impact projects to generate integrated analytical, marketplace, and competitor insights

• Ensure alignment to enterprise and sector timelines and templates

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: Must be currently enrolled in the last year of studies or higher in a business, finance, marketing, statistics, or related degree program

Required Years of Related Experience: n/a

Other: GPA of 3.0 or higher

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Financial Acumen: Financial Statement Analysis and Financial Data Analysis skills to inform how market & business trends may impact company strategies

• Technology Skills: Advanced technical capabilities with proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint

• Project Management: Execution of goals and objectives in accordance with set requirements and timelines

• Agility & Growth Mindset: Flexible & creative approach

The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $21.75/hr, Junior $22.75/hr, Senior $23.75/hr, Master's degree $29.75/hr.
