We are seeking an upbeat, motivated and collaborative scientist to join us in our mission to innovate next-generation CAR-T cell therapy products for cancer patients. The scientist should have proven experience in cell therapy process development and technology innovation. In this role, they will focus on primary human cell culture, cell processing techniques, basic analytical assays and new technology evaluation. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams supporting pre-clinical and clinical cell programs.
Primary responsibilities but not limited to:
- Uses and applies moderately sophisticated principles and policies in selecting methods and techniques for acquiring solutions.
- Provides solutions to problems of moderate complexity and exercises judgment within standard policies and procedures to resolve appropriate action.
- Participates in the design of experiments, with assistance of more expert team members.
- Plans and conducts developmental experiments, analyzes and interprets the results.
- Communicate results in writing and oral presentations to enable key decision-making.
- Work as a key team member on shared results to meet project timelines.
- Timely and detailed documentation and completion of electronic laboratory notebooks

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree with relevant industry experience in Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Biological Sciences or a related field is highly preferred with 1-2 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with cell therapy processing techniques (such as aseptic cell culture, cell separation, and cryopreservation) is required.
- Basic understanding of cell biology and immunology is required.
- Basic skill with statistic data analysis is required.
- Comfortably handling and processing human blood/cell samples is required.
- Ability to work independently without hands-on direction and complete tasks in team-based setting.
- Able to conduct lab experiments, collect, analyze, report and present data, as well as contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Able to have good communication skills verbally or in written manner.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability working in a dynamic environment, responsiveness and dedication to complete tasks in timely manner.
Preferred:
- In-depth understanding of CAR-T cell biology and cancer immunology is preferred.
- Prior experience working with CAR-T cell processing technologies (e.g. bioreactors, T cell enrichment, electroporation/gene editing) is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidance and CMC development in cell & gene therapy field is preferred.
- Prior experience working with statistical software (e.g. JMP, GraphPad, Minitab) is preferred.
Other:
- This role is based in Spring House, PA and may require occasional weekend work.
