As Area Vice President, East Region, Key Account Management, you will lead and manage large hospital systems and group purchasing organization (GPO) customers for J&J MedTech Surgery (Ethicon). You'll develop and inspire a high-performing team while driving revenue growth, pricing strategies, and market access. Your work will focus on building strong, strategic relationships that deliver value to customers and the organization.

In this field based role, you'll create and execute business plans for key East Region customers. You'll collaborate with healthcare executives and decision-makers to achieve mutual growth and profitability. Using resources like supply chain, analytics, and health economics, you'll turn goals into actionable customer strategies. You'll also oversee contract management, ensuring alignment and compliance, and guide a team of Key Account Directors, Contract Directors, and Strategic Systems Leads to deliver results.

Collaboration is key. You'll work with sales, marketing, and enterprise teams to align regional strategies with broader goals. You'll mentor your team, share market insights, and establish metrics to measure success. This role also focuses on delivering customer solutions through clinical and economic programs while driving innovation in key account management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business planning and execution for East Region customers.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare leaders to drive mutual success.
  • Oversee contract management to ensure pricing alignment and compliance.
  • Mentor and develop team members to strengthen leadership and business skills.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and achieve goals.
  • Deliver impactful customer solutions and ensure program success.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years in sales, account management, marketing, finance, or general management.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Expertise in customer management, market analytics, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $299,000.
