The Contract Operations team is accountable for contract management activities associated with J&J's commercial customers. Its mission is to drive consistent and compliant contract management practices in support of J&J business strategies and the company's customers.
The Analyst is responsible for supporting the contracting needs for Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM) and Managed Care Organizations (MCO) administered by the Managed Markets & Specialty Team. This role will have sizable interaction with Operating Companies and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain contracts, including loading of contract pricing information, as well as analysis and processing of rebate payments to organizations referenced above.
- Demonstrate a customer service mentality and ability to learn, as well as demonstrate effective communication skills with an ability to make the complex simple.
- Regularly communicate in all directions to keep associates, peers and management advised of payment status, deadlines and process improvements.
- Assume leadership roles on teams and projects within and across departments focused on improving the contract management process that streamline and improve current procedures.
- Support key departmental projects by utilizing business knowledge, systems, good decision-making skills and project management skills.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operating Companies and field personnel, and provide a high level of customer service.
- Transfer knowledge within the department, across departments and to Operating Companies, while understanding the impact of actions on processes across multiple business partners.
- Apply strong analytical skills to discuss contracting data and information with a broad range of associates in J&J and with outside organizations.
- Understand the entire contracting continuum.
- Troubleshoot problems of various complexities with limited supervision and demonstrate high levels of analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to understand systems and processes.
- Run and analyze reports and perform SOX analysis, as well as build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree required or Masters Degree preferred
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet deliverables and deadlines
- Experience with data analytics, including analysis, interpretation, and presenting to leadership
- Proven ability to build and support strong, positive relationships with internal and external partners
- Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Preferred:
- Contract development and/or contracting system experience
- Understanding of all phases of the contract continuum and business processes
- Working experience in business analytics, finance analytics, legal analytics, or contract analytics
- Financial and audit controls knowledge
- Project management experience/skills
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with Model-N or Revitas, Sarbanes -Oxley (SOX), or Database Management
Other:
- This position is anticipated to have up to 10% travel
- The anticipated base pay range for this position is $63,000 to $102,350.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
