The Forensic & Compliance internship program is a full-time summer work experience focused on providing college students with practical compliance and forensics experience. It allows them to develop leadership, technical, and communication skills as well as broaden their understanding of the concepts learned in school and "get a taste of the real world" before they are fully committed to it. Internship participants will be better able to apply concepts learned in the classroom and to ask more poignant questions of their professors to further their goals and education. Forensic & Compliance internship applicants must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills as well as a desire to explore careers in forensics and compliance.
Each internship role includes exposure to sensitive issue investigations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act audits, 3rd party and government contract compliance audits and a capstone project. Specific responsibilities may include analytical support of forensic analysis, formulation of investigative strategies, audit planning using data analytics tools, and audit participation. Other common tasks include analysis of financial questions and problems, problem solving, active business partnering and developing innovative methods to improve job metrics and processes.
Qualifications
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future
- A minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Current enrollment in an accredited College/University
- Ability to work full-time during the summer
- Intermediate or higher level of knowledge of MS Excel and Word is required, and experience using data analytics tools i.e. Tableau, ACL, Alteryx, etc. is preferred.
The anticipated base pay for this position is between $24.75/hour and $27.75/hour, but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
This position is overtime eligible.
