What you will do:

  • Apply modern strategies and best practices to Global Signal and Monitoring environment

  • Develop tools and automation systems for deployment, provisioning and configuration management of hundreds of servers

  • Develop and manage processes and systems to handle corporate requirements for vulnerability mitigation, patching, and AV/compliance software installations.

  • Provides L2/L3 support for US Monitoring Team applications and service platforms (Fire/Security Monitoring, Managed Access, Hosted Video)

  • Maintain and maximize uptime (>99.999%) for life-safety applications – Monitoring, Video, and Access Control systems

How you will do it:

  • Ensure system uptime and availability

  • Ensure rapid-response on-call services

  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support for monitoring, access control and video system applications group

  • Manage new software updates and enhancements (patch/upgrades)

  • Manage IT vulnerabilities for CMC systems using software updates and CVE vulnerability DB recommendations

  • Provide applications assistance to technical teams and the business

  • Perform build or expansion of applications hardware and software

  • Communication on trouble resolution

  • Develop deployment and automation methodologies and systems

  • Document product build/change

  • Partner with JCI InfoSec teams for vulnerability mitigation/remediation strategies and processes

  • Partner with business on future business needs, strategy, planning

  • Document and solution enhancement requests (liaison to supplier)

  • Contribute to development and execution of strategic plans as a highly skilled team member

What we look for:

Required

  • Understanding of virtualization, containers, and container management systems

  • Knowledge of IT systems and concepts (network, hosting, storage, scripting)

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

  • Critical thinking and superior problem assessment and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical topics to vendors, team members and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to interface with other teams as needed

  • Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality

  • 5-7 years of experience in the design, deployment and maintenance of complex application environments

  • Ability to work on-call a week at a time on a rotational basis

Preferred

  • Four (4) year degree of equivalent

  • Certifications for relevant technologies (CCNA, MCSE, etc.)

  • Experience with security industry applications such as MASterMind, Immix, Kantech

  • Strong SQL Server skills (configuration, performance tuning, scripting)

  • Strong Microsoft product skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.)

This will be a hybrid position at our Aurora, Colorado or Kansas City, Missouri office. At least two days in office.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $81,800 -102,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
