What you will do

This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX. Candidates must be commuting distance to the office, and/or willing to relocate.

How you will do it

  • Direct Sales Engagement: Actively prospect, qualify, and manage customer relationships to identify potential sales opportunities and close deals within assigned territory.

  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies, including pricing and promotional plans, to achieve sales goals.

  • Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls' systems and solutions to effectively present value propositions to customers.

  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and develop new sales leads through networking, market research, and customer outreach.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong customer relationships through regular communication, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional customer service.

  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their individual performance and achieve collective sales targets.

  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide insights to inform sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

What you will need
Required

  • 5+ years of success in a complex B2B sales environment, ideally within the Applied HVAC Equipment industry

  • Technical understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems and HVAC technologies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve goals.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
